The first meeting of CETAF in Greece was completed on Wednesday 4 October 2017, in the NHMC-UoC Exhibition Halls, with a total of 53 Managing & Scientific Executives from 33 CETAF members, representing 59 European bodies.
The opening of the meeting was held on Tuesday 3 October 2017 by Prof. Odysseas Zoras, the Rector of the University of Crete, to which NHMC belongs, while the participants were also welcomed by Dr Katerina Voreadou (NHMC), responsible for organizing the meeting and a representative of NHMC-UoC at CETAF. Mrs Lena Borboudakis, Director of the NHMC Exhibition Halls, welcomed the delegates and gave warm thanks to the Rector, the Rector's Council of the University of Crete as well as the Technical Service and all the services of the UoC for their contribution to the realization of this important scientific meeting.
CETAF is the largest consortium of Natural History Museums, Botanical Gardens and other Natural History bodies from all over Europe, with global interconnections. The NHMC-UoC is the only Representative of Greece at CETAF. The meeting was open only to the scientific staff of the NHMC-Uoc.
