The Natural History Museum of Crete-University of Crete is particularly outgoing. Its members attend scientific conferences, art festivals and events in and outside Crete. It organizes environmental awareness events, hosts events that promote culture, such as book presentations, documentaries and films, contemporary dance and theater performances, painting exhibitions, musical evenings, etc. Many of its activities are implemented with the assistance of Sponsors, which ensures their desired high quality.

With the help of the sponsorships, the NHMC-UoC has managed to carry out great actions. Some of them are:

  • the free transport of wild animals, to and from Crete, for their medical treatment or their release, as well as the movements of museum partners, are carried out with the kind support of the shipping company ANEK Lines
  • Environmental Education & Awareness actions to highlight the natural environment of Crete” with the Support of the Region of Crete

Finally, the NHMC-UoC also accepts in-kind donations, such as equipment (computers, touch screens, etc.) or services (travel, hosting guests, etc.).

Indicative compensation benefits:

  • Donors, sponsors and supporters of the museum are mentioned on the museum’s website, in the promotional material of actions/events they have undertaken and in its social media.
  • On a case-by-case basis, donors, sponsors and supporters of the museum can be granted free (or discounted) space to host an event.
  • As the case may be, free (or discounted) tours can be given to donors, sponsors and supporters of the museum.
