Short CV

Zoi Mavritsaki studied Biology at the University of Crete. She speaks English (Cambridge and Michigan certificate of Proficiency in English) and a few French. She has attended seminars about education such as the e- learning course “Child and the Museum” at the University of Athens.

She has worked as a seller at a bookstore and also as a telephone operator at OTE. In January 2014 she worked at the Hydrobiology lab of the Natural History Museum of Crete in a research programme about the study of the ecological status of Crete’s water compartment. During the school year 2015-2016 she voluntarily taught Physics and Biology to secondary school students in the municipality of Heraklion.

Since February 2017 she works at the exhibition of the Natural History Museum of Crete mainly as an interpreter and designer of educational programmes, and as a guide as well. She is also in charge of event planning in the museum since 2019.
