Georgios Vitsakis is the CEO and founding member of the company Kosmos Intelligent Systems and Services, a spin-off of the University of Crete, and IT Manager at the Natural History Museum of Crete.

He studied at the University of Salerno, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in “Computer Science” with specialization in “Information Systems Analysis”.

He is the coordinator and implementer of over 40 development programs, alongside being in charge of writing, submitting, and managing national and international programs in the company Kosmos Intelligent Systems – Asset Management Company of the University of Crete – ELKE University of Crete. He is also in charge of the training group of development programs at the University of Crete.

At the same time, he is the system & network administrator for the computer server of the University of Crete, with the responsibilities of planning and supporting its operating systems and cloud infrastructures.

Finally, he taught the “Programming” course at the Technological Educational Institute of Crete for 8 years and the “Introduction to Computers” course at the University of Crete for 20 years. He also attends and participates in at least 2 international forums per year on the subjects of innovative services and Smart Cities.
