Dr. Eleftheria (Eri) Antaloudaki is a researcher botanist with a PhD in Molecular and Morphological Phylogeny of Origanum in Greece. Since September 2023 she is the Curator of Botany of the Natural History Museum of Crete (NHMC)- University of Crete, while she also trains students in molecular practices and oversees the smooth operation of the Molecular Systematics Laboratory of the NHMC under the supervision of Dr. Nikos Poulakakis (E.Y). She is a certified assessor by the IUCN and participates in the current update of the Red Data Book of Rare and Threatened Plants of Greece, evaluating 130 plant species. She has participated in eight European projects, eight national and two international conferences, and she has four scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals. In addition, she has attended four international seminars/workshops on plant classification, Natural History Museum collections and morphological phylogeny methods. In the framework of educational activities for children and adults at the NHMC, she has given lectures and has participated as a speaker in two experiential biodiversity workshops conducted by schools in Crete. From 2013 to 2015, she taught the course “Systematic Botany practicals” at the Higher Technological Educational Institute of Heraklion (A.T.E.I.), Department of Agricultural Technology. She also undertakes wild flora studies throughout Greece.
