6 employees of the Exhibition of Natural History Museum of Crete job-shadowed members of the staff of the Natural History Museum of Denmark \u2013 K\u00f8benhavns Universitet and participated in a variety of activities during the mobility period, 02\/09\/2023 \u2013 09\/09\/2023, in Copenhagen.<\/p>\n

Activities;<\/p>\n

  • Guided tours through all the facilities of the Natural History Museum of Denmark \u2013 K\u00f8benhavns Universitet and the temporary exhibition:\u00a0\u201cMonkeys! \u2013 A primate story\u201d.<\/li>\n
  • Visits the old exhibition halls, the collections, and the research labs of the ZoologicalMuseum, Geological Museum \u2013 geological, paleontological and botanical collections.<\/li>\n
  • Discussions about educational programmes organized by the museum to make the collections accessible to a wide audience.<\/li>\n
  • Exploration of the main collections of the institute along with the curators.<\/li>\n
  • Visits to the botanical garden, palm house, and butterfly house facilities (also belonging to the Natural History Museum).<\/li>\n
  • \u00a0Job-shadowed the educators who design and implement learning programmes and activities.<\/li>\n
  • Participation in academic teaching carried out in the facilities of theMuseum along with students of the University of Copenhagen.<\/li>\n
  • Attend botanical the preparation of hosting an event to the garden of the Museum<\/li>\n
  • Discussion about the methods of the maintenance of their\u2019s specimens.<\/li>\n
  • Job-Shadowed the work in order to digitalize, one by one, the specimens of their collections.<\/li>\n
  • The museum\u2019s education team performed their objects and tools and the way they use them while working with groups on the topic of monkeys.<\/li>\n
  • Participation in a 3-stage workshop on carnivorous plants (informative presentation, searching at the green house, at last a task on the topic for a final conclusion. ) and in an educational program about the animals that lived in Copenhagen at the past, studding skin\u2019s morphology, noticing the differences at the pattern of each species.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
