This short perennial, has large obovate toothed leaves
and solitary pale yellow flowers. It grows in woodland clearings
and damp meadows. It occurs in mainland Greece and western Crete.

It is a mineral of Barium (Ba) has non-metallic luster and color brownish
yellow to light brown. The name comes from the high specific gravity (4.5).
It has a hardness of 3 to 3.5.
