Photo of the Hawfinch, Coccothraustes coccothraustes, which is the largest finch in the Balkans. In this photo you can see that Hawfinch has a thick beak, capable of breaking even a walnut. It feeds mainly on seeds, but also on fruits. Nesting occurs in high trees.
