Photo of a Eurasian Eagle Owl, Bubo bubo, the biggest nocturnal bird of prey in the world. The great size, bulky, ear tufts and orange eyes make this eagle owl a distinctive species. It feeds on small mammals and birds, even other raptors, which it catches by surprise at dusk while they roost.
