Photo of the Yellow-legged Gull, Larus michahellis. It is the most common seagull species found along the Greek coasts. It breeds in colonies on islets although it can be found far from water in agricultural land and rubbish dumps. Its wings are adapted to flying in difficult weather conditions such as strong winds and heavy rain.
