Photo of a Goat, Capra hircus. Goats have been domesticated from the wild goats of southwest Asia and Eastern Europe. Together with the sheep, they are of the oldest domesticated species. They have been used for their milk, meat, hair, and skins. It is so easy to keep a goat, that people consider it as "the cow of the poor".
