Fallow deer
Even-toed ungulates

Photo of a Fallow deer, Dama dama. The Fallow deer was abundant in southern Europe and the Middle East until the beginning of the 20th century. Today, few natural populations have been left. Some scientists consider the Asiatic populations to be of a different species (Dama mesopotamica).
