Northern Goshawk
Ungulate Ecosystems (Cyprus) diorama

Photo of a Northern Goshawk, Accipiter gentilis, a fast and strong predator that dwells in forested areas. The Goshawk population in Cyprus is notably large for an island. It feeds on medium sized birds and more rarely mammals. The females are significantly larger than the males.
