Photo of a Brown Bear, Ursus arctos, Europe’s largest, terrestrial living carnivore. In winter it hibernates in caves or dens that it digs. It is omnivorous. It gives birth to 1 - 2 young, every 3 years or more. In natural conditions it can live up to 30 years.
