Photo of a NHMC herbarium specimen of Doerfler's Tulip, Tulipa doerfleri. It is one of the species of wild tulips that grow in the island of Crete Greece. It is an endemic species of Crete and in the 2009 "Red Data Book of Rare and Threatened Plants of Greece" It is listed as Vulnerable (VU).
