Photo of a of Baryte or "Desert Rose", bought from Morocco in 1999. It is a mineral of Barium (Ba) has non-metallic luster and color brownish yellow to light brown. The name comes from the high specific gravity (4.5). It has a hardness of 3 to 3.5.
