Heuglin's Gull, Larus (fuscus) heuglini subadult

Photo of a subadult Heuglin's Gull, Larus (fuscus) heuglini. Identification of this species is always difficult, as look almost like the Lesser Back-backed Gull of Western Europe. It is a long distance migrant, breeds in toundra of Northern Russia and winters to Middle East, Iran and East Africa. Some can be regularly seen in Eastern Mediterranean, even in Greece on their passage, especially in autumn, but very few also winter on harbours.
