Photo of the Sawfly orchid, Ophrys tenthredinifera subsp. leochroma, in Amari Region of Crete, Greece. This is a short Ophrys species, that grows in groups all over the mediterranean. In Greece, subspecies leochroma is restricted to southern Greece. It can be found in rocky phrygana shrubland.
