Photo of Naked Man Orchid, Orchis italica In Heraklion district, Greece. This is a rather common orchids of Greece. It is easy to distinguish from other orchids thanks to its beautiful pink oval inflorescence. The lip lobes give the florets the look of a naked man (or Satyr) hence its name. It grows among phrygana and pine woodland, up to 900 m of altitude.
