Photo of a Spitting spider, Scytodes sp. (Scytodidae), with egg sac. Scytodes species have a characteristic tiger-like pattern over their entire body. They are called spitting spiders because they spit a poisonous sticky silken substance over their prey. Their size ranges between 3–6 mm.
