Photo of the Cretan wall lizard, Podarcis cretensis, which is endemic to the island of Crete, Greece. It is a medium-sized lizard reaching 20 cm in length. They live in areas with shrubs and bushes, though they prefer rocks and stone walls. They prey upon arthropods, snails and even small geckoes.
