Photo of the Worm Snake, Typhlops vermicularis, which is a very small worm-like snake. It lives in the soil where it hunts worms and arthropods. Its head is barely distinguishable by two dark dots which correspond to its eyes. The scale at the end of its tail forms a hard pointy tip, which it uses to cling and move.
