Photo of the Great Reed Warbler, Acrocephalus arundinaceus, a large passerine (19cm), with a shrill voice that resembles a toad croaking. A summer visitor in Greece, and a typical bird of the wetlands, it is found in reedbeds, often seen singing from a perch. Its basket- shaped nest usually swings from branches in thick vegetation.
