Photo of fruit of Corn poppy, Papaver rhoeas. This impressive cosmopolitan plant is one of the most common wildflowers of Greece. It grows in cultivated (mostly wheat fields) and abandoned fields, up to 600 m. It has dark green leaves and scarlet flowers.
