Photo of the Sieber's Crocus, Crocus sieberi subsp. sieberi. This Crocus is an endemic subspecies of Cretan mountains common at altitudes ranging from 1,000 to 2,200m. In the spring it is found near the areas where the snow is just melting. In the photo there is a Sieber's Crocus, in bloom in Lefka Ori mt, Crete, Greece.
