Photo of the Yellow-legged Gull, Larus michahellis, the most common seagull species found along the Mediterranean coasts. It breeds in colonies on islets although it can be found far away from water, in agricultural land and rubbish dumps. Their wings are adapted to fly under difficult weather conditions, such as strong winds and heavy rain.
