Photo of a Strawberry Tree, Arbutus unedo. It is a big evergreen shrub or small tree, restricted to non calcareous substrates. Its leaves are hard and leathery and its bell shaped flowers, appear in panicles in autumn. Its red berries are edible by both men and animals.
