CLIMATE
September is the end of summer in Greece and daytime temperatures typically range from 19°C to 26°C (66° to 79°F). Days are usually sunny but you should carry a coat and an umbrella in case of rain.

BANKS AND CURRENCY EXCHANGE
Banks are commonly open from 8.40 to 13.30, Monday to Friday.
The Greek currency is the EURO. The Euro is available in banknotes and coins. The exchange rate is set on a daily basis. Cash machines are located in every bank throughout the city.
Credit cards are generally accepted in most restaurants, hotels and shops.

VISA
Greece is part of the so-called Schengen zone, thus citizens from Countries being part of this area and citizens from the EU, do not need special visas to enter the Country. However, before departure, foreigners wishing to enter Greece should verify their own Country's policies.
Foreigners needing a special invitation letter in order to obtain visas may request it from the Congress Secretariat at least four months prior to the congress.
