Abstract submission
An abstract submission is required for presenting either a contributed talk or a poster. Abstracts can be uploaded via the Abstract Submission System . Once in the Abstract Submission System , please follow the specific guidelines for abstract submission.

Abstract Guidelines
Abstracts related to all aspects of animal systematics, phylogeny, phylogeography, and ecology in the eastern Mediterranean region are welcome in the format of oral or poster presentation.
  1. Please use only Internet Explorer or Safari (Mac users) to upload your abstract. Only abstracts submitted through the online submission system will be accepted.
  2. Abstracts must contain original material, not published or presented at any other international meeting prior to the 11th ICZEGAR. Only abstracts in English will be accepted.
  3. All abstracts for the 11th ICZEGAR must be submitted on-line through the Abstract Submission System.
  4. Please retain your assigned number as a reference for future communication. Abstracts will be accepted only in English. Abstracts must not exceed 250 words. Submitters shall indicate a preferred presentation format (e.g. oral or poster presentation). Abstract submissions shall include the following information: Introduction and aim, materials and methods, results and discussion.
  5. On-line abstract submission begins February 23, 2009.
  6. Deadline for submission of abstracts is June 30, 2009.
  7. Receipt of abstracts will be acknowledged by e-mail to the submitting author only.
  8. Each abstract will be reviewed by the members of the scientific committee. A limited number of abstracts will be selected for oral presentation and larger number will be accepted for poster presentation.
  9. Acceptance of abstracts will be advised to the submitting author by July 15, 2009. This notification of acceptance will be sent by e-mail.
  10. If an abstract is accepted, at least one of the authors must attend the meeting and present it in person. The presenting author of an accepted abstract must register and pay the registration fee. If the registration fee has not been received by July 30, 2009, the abstract shall not be included in the program or published in the abstract book.
  11. Final notification indicating the day and time of their presentation and providing information on procedures for check in at the Congress speakers˘ desk will be available on the website in August, 2009.
  12. Personal computers and laptops are not recommended; all presenters are encouraged to use the congress equipment provided. Microsoft PowerPoint presentations must be on either a USB key/flash drive or CD (compact disc).
  13. Presenting authors are responsible for all costs related to travel and attendance to the meeting unless otherwise agreed with the congress organizers.

    Posters
    The poster dimensions should not exceed 90 x 120cm (width x height). Adequate mounting supplies will be available at the Conference Centre. Posters sessions and the exact place of presentation for each poster will be announced in time by the organizing committee.

    PROCEEDINGS

    Selected papers, revised by scientific committees, will be published in the Journal of Zoological Systematics and Evolutionary Research.
