Some of the activities of our department are included below:

• cataloging of greek and east Mediterranean species and their distribution of :
  • Arachnids (Spiders & Scorpions),
  • Centipedes,
  • Coleoptera (Carabidae, Tenebrionidae, Scarabaeidae, Cerambycidae, και Staphylinidae,
• Phylogenesis and Biogeography of the genus Dendarus (Coleoptera, Tenebrionidae).
• Ecology of the genus Mesobuthus (Scorpiones).
• Participation and colaborations in various Environmental Management Projects of the NHMC (Arthropod data analysis).
• Participation and colaborations in various editions and scientific publications on greek or Mediterranean topics of the NHMC.
• Support and colaborations on Arthropod issues with other NHMC depts (e.g. stomach or pellet content analysis of various vertebrates, etc).
